McCain Ads and Palin Gaffe

After seeing John McCain's new ad against Barack Obama, the only thing I could do was laugh.

How desperate is McCain?

I feel as if I'm living in a mental asylum in this country! How could McCain call Obama a hypocrite and get away with it? It is ludicrous.

The McCain campaign is digging so deep to attack Obama that what they actually have to use against him is comical, because everyone knows he is lying.

John McCain calling Barack Obama a hypocrite is the same thing as Barack Obama calling John McCain a black man. As they would say in Mexico, El burro hablando de orejas.

I do get worried about this election because I know how many ignorant people there are in this country, but with each passing day the anxiety weakens as McCain and Palin say and do more things to turn the voters against them.

Also, Palin said in another clip released from her interview with Katie Couric, that she has been watching Joe Biden since she was in second grade. Is that supposed to be funny? Is her running mate not 72 years old?

If you're going to take a shot at someone, you should probably use that glob of pink behind your eyes first.

McCain and Palin Clueless with Couric

Apparently if somebody asks a politician a question, and that question is answered in a tone that contradicts what said politician stands for, the question/answer is null and void.

At least according to John McCain and Sarah Palin.

The two appeared on a follow up interview with Katie Couric. McCain sat down this time in an attempt to keep Palin from saying more stupid stuff. Didn't work... they both came off as morons.

I know I've said it before and I'll say it again, how stupid do they think we are? Gotcha journalism? She answered a question that was asked to her by a voter. This time, she stumbled off her scripted rhetoric that she's been spewing everywhere and answered the voter's question with an answer straight from Barack Obama's mouth. Something McCain stands staunchly against.

I just don't understand how there are still people supporting these two, even though that number is quickly dwindling. The last thing we need in this country are more lies, war-mongerers, religious nuts and people willing and happy to take away civil liberties.

We need a change... we need it now. 2012 is way too far away. If McCain is elected consider the USA we once knew and loved, a thing of the past.

Chemical Attack on Mosque in Dayton, Ohio

It is now the last 10 days of Ramadan. The holy month for those practicing Islam.

In Dayton on Friday night, two hate-filled, disgusting human beings sprayed a chemical into a mosque where about 300 people were praying.

Not only did they perform this horrible hate crime, but they sprayed the chemicals into a room where babies and children napped and waited for praying parents.

Children slowly emerged to find their parents through red, itchy eyes. Quickly the fumes pressed further into the mosque and everyone evacuated.

People's throats and eyes burned while they coughed out of control waiting for help. A few people had to be taken to the hospital.

A child told firefighters that he saw two men spraying the irritants from white spray cans into a window of the mosque.

This story wasn't in headlines anywhere! If this had happened at a temple, or especially a church, this country would be in an uproar.

What happened in Ohio is despicable, racist and absolutely everything that this country stands against. The two people responsible, if caught, should be punished severely. This should never happen. Ever.

Biden Vs. Palin: A Sure Win for the Dems

Boy am I excited for the upcoming vice presidential debate... much more excited than I was for the first debate between Obama and McCain.

Why you ask?

I am beyond excited to watch Palin buckle in the spotlight. I am really looking forward to watching a woman who has been scripted for the past few weeks take on a man with decades of experience who is known to speak his mind.

Oh baby.

So what you can definitely expect to see in this upcoming debate on Thursday is a massive win for the Democrats.

What on earth is Palin going to talk about in front of a man like Joe Biden? You think Joe will let her justify her quote about Russia's proximity to Alaska?

Joe Biden is foreign policy. Sarah Palin got her first passport last year. This isn't going to be a debate, it's going to be a beatdown.

Since being picked as Barack Obama's running mate, Biden has been interviewed countless times... Sarah Palin, what is it three interviews now? And all of them a laugh.

People are finally realizing that Sarah Palin has no business being in the position she is in. It's been three weeks and her hype has died down now that she has shown America just how unprepared and inexperienced she is.

Palin is in a rough spot. Yesterday, John McCain had to refute her statement about handling terrorists in Pakistan and how she said the exact same thing as Obama, contradicting McCain. When taken off the script, Palin is like a moose in headlights.

There were no knockout punches thrown in the first debate between Obama and the McCain, but I can guarantee you Joe Biden will throw a few.

The Bills: 4-0

Another Sunday, another Buffalo Bills victory.

This week, against the struggling St. Louis Rams.

After an incredibly shaky first half, again, the Bills have dominated the second half, and more importantly the 4th quarter once more.

Bills fans everywhere were weary and quiet going into halftime trailing the Rams 14-6. Fred Jackson showed the Rams defense how quick he is with a 22 yard explosion for a touchdown to put the Bills within one point in the third quarter. 14-13.

The Bills never looked back and the Rams are still wondering what hit them in the fourth quarter as Jabari Greer intercepted a Trent Green pass and ran it back for a touchdown. 20-14.

The Bills didn't stop there... they held the Rams once more with a solid defense and regained possession of the ball. The Bills marched down the field under the leadership of Trent Edwards. They looked like a team of men playing a team of boys. Edwards connected with Lee Evans for a 39 yard touchdown reception and connected with Evans again for the two point conversion. 28-14.

Just to make it look like a more severe beating, the Bills tacked on another 3 points from a 45 yard field goal by Ryan Lindell.

Next week the Bills fly to Arizona to take on the Cardinals in search of their 5th straight win.

McCain Really Doesn't Get It

"I noticed during our debate that even as American troops are fighting on two fronts, Barack Obama couldn't bring himself to use the word 'victory' even once," McCain said, showing us once again that he is completely out of his mind.

Victory John? What victory?

Our country is not that naive John. We aren't stupid. It is 2008. The war is still raging out of control. The reason Obama decided not to say 'victory' in his speech is because he knows both sides are far from it.

Over 4,000 US troops have died. Over 100,000 Iraqi civilians. The British military has reported 176 deaths; Italy, 33; Ukraine, 18; Poland, 21; Bulgaria, 13; Spain, 11; Denmark, 7; El Salvador, five; Slovakia, four; Latvia and Georgia, three each; Estonia, Netherlands, Thailand and Romania, two each; and Australia, Hungary, Kazakhstan and South Korea, one death each.

Not only that, Al Qaeda and other radical groups are only growing. This won't end for a long time. In the meantime, let's get Obama in the White House to start filling up that huge hole the GOP has dug for us.

There is too much to lose if we elect McCain.

13 Million Digit Prime Number Found

I suppose the first thing that popped into my head was, 'who cares?'

I was going to write the number out for you but figured it would take me the rest of my life to do that, so I nixed the idea.

A prime number, as I would hope you all know, is a number that is only divisible by two whole numbers, one and itself. Examples are 3, 5, 7 etc...

The group at UCLA found a prime number with 13 million digits. How in the world is that relevant to anything? Not only that, they are probably going to win $100,000 for doing so. Give me a break.

One hundred grand for an accomplishment like this? Give that money to those who really need it.

This country wastes so much money its absurd.

McCain is Bush. Bush is McCain.

Is this really who people want running our country?
How are people so blind to the fact that McCain is Bush? Bush is McCain. They are the same!
It is beyond sad that some people don't see that. The idea that people see McCain as change is absolutely mind-boggling.
He is so unqualified to be our president. I'd be surprised if he survived the next four years with his health history and age. Look how much a president ages in one term. Look at Clinton, and the economy was rockin during his two terms and there was no war.
If McCain is elected, he will need to be pushed around in a wheelbarrow after a few months.
He seemed so uncomfortable speaking last night, like the arthritis in his knees was too much to handle. He looked like he was in pain. He needs to hang it up.
And for those out there thinking he is different than Bush, open your eyes and stop being so damn stupid. Stop letting the GOP think for you. Stop being so damn brainwashed.
McCain is obviously more of the same. I just don't want to have to say 'I told you so' if McCain is elected.

Obama and McCain: Round 1

So I didn't see anything fancy or witness any death blows in the first debate between the two presidential hopefuls.

Barack Obama and John McCain went head-to-head, answering questions from spooky, big-eyed moderator, Jim Lehrer.

They tackled questions raised about the economy and foreign policy.

Obama was composed, calm and intelligent in all of his responses, being polite and pointing out when McCain was right and where they agreed upon certain issues. Obama answered questions that were asked, giving definitive answers and explanations as to what he is going to do as president.

Obama actually answered the questions he was asked! Go figure, something I haven't seen McCain or his joke of a running-mate, Sarah Palin, do thus far.

McCain however, did exactly what I (and many others) expected him to do. He talked about himself and his record. John, we really don't care anymore that you were in a POW camp. We know. You have told us many times.

John McCain is to POW camp as Rudy Giuliani is to 9/11. Stop talking about it already!

Another thing that annoyed me incessantly was Senator McCain's condescending tone throughout the debate. Just because you are older than everyone there doesn't mean you have to talk down to everyone like we don't understand. And how about looking at Obama? McCain avoided looking at Obama when Lehrer told him to address his question to the Illinois Senator. McCain kept talking and staring at Lehrer like an immature child.

Most people watching the debate understand the economy more than McCain, yet he speaks to us as if we were children, just like George W. Bush. Two old, white, religious condescending conservatives... sounds like, almost every president we have ever had, and look where we are now.

McCain spoke about how he will fix the financial crisis and do this, that and the other thing.

I was born in 1983, right when McCain started his time in the Senate. What has he done to actually help this country in the time that I've been alive?

McCain spoke about the veterans, and how they are unhappy as ever now, but he will fix it. Fix it? Why have you been ignoring them since the early- eighties? He is so transparent that it's sadly funny.

I can see through McCain like a window. He is a lying, flip-flopping old codger who needs to throw in the towel before this country is actually flushed, not just spinning round and round heading towards the drain.

Props to Katie Couric for Not Punching Sarah Palin in Her Stupid, Lying Mouth

My congratulations go out to Katie Couric, for not vomiting all over the place while interviewing Sarah Palin.
Her answers were absolutely insane, and those who believe otherwise should move to Wasilla, Alaska and take up crystal meth.
Katie Couric's eyes were worth a thousand words as she spoke with Palin, somehow keeping a straight face while listening to the scripted garbage come oozing out of her lying mouth.
You have NO foreign policy experience, admit it! We already know! Don't be shy Sarah. Stop defending your proximity to Russia quote and admit you were talking out your ass.
She has a real problem answering questions. It's beyond me. How can people get away with NOT answering questions in an interview? It's absolutely nuts.
She is so uniformed, so ignorant and so unfit for president that it blows my mind we are where we are today after all we have overcome in the past. It's absolutely sickening. The McCain/Palin campaign will dig us deeper and set us further back than we are now. You could bet on that.
How do some people not see that?

Like Children on Swings

I hate drilling, I love drilling....

I will go to the debate, I won't go to the debate, or wait, yes I will...

Experience is a must! I pick Sarah Palin..

Everything John McCain says he changes. He is like a child on a swing. Back and forth, back and forth.

I don't want a fickle old man running my country, with his indecisive finger on the red button.

But he's not alone... Sarah Palin is just as big a liar as McCain. The amount of lies that pour out of these two people collectively makes me sick to my stomach.

McCain said he chose somebody who, "stopped government from wasting taxpayers money."

What about that 15 million dollar hockey arena in Wasilla, costing the tiny town 1.3 million after loads of problems.

Does the Bridge to Nowhere ring any bells? How about all of the money she got for that project... where is it now? And that plane on ebay... didn't actually sell on ebay and they lost over half a million dollars of taxpayers money with that fiasco. There was no profit. Some reformer.

They say she has small town values.. she is from the crystal meth capital of Alaska.

What about foreign policy Johnny boy? We know you have been abroad... but the broad you picked just got her passport last year! A photo-op in NYC with a few foreign leaders doesn't give her any experience.

Come on America, wake up! Let's show McCain and Palin we aren't as stupid as they think we are! Show them that some functioning brains do exist in the red states that want to see a real difference!

The GOP is a joke. They are an endangered species and I look forward to watch them dwindle away to nothing.

What Happened to America?

Does anybody know what they're doing anymore?

I mean, come on.. look around.

These past couple of months have exposed Wall St. and America for what they really are... greedy pigs.

I'm not saying all Americans are greedy, clearly, but this mess we are in now just shows how little judgement and intuition the people running our economy possess.

With banks running out of money and Wall St. folding, more and more money is being 'borrowed' to help 'fix' the problem. Or just patch it up so it will hold long enough for Bush to scurry out of office in a few months and leave the burden to whoever takes his place. You can't put a band-aid on a broken leg.

One trillion dollars to get things in order they think. Think about that number for a minute before you continue reading. 1,000,000,000,000. In a country that is dishing out 10 billion/month on a war in Iraq. Think about all of this money and what good it could actually do. No one is thinking long-term anymore.

I just think about these suits, these fat and greedy pigs walking up and down Wall St. thinking about their bonuses. All of these money hungry animals that have nothing else on the mind. People straight out of the movie, 'Boiler Room.'

People like Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson, an ex-CEO of Goldman Sachs.

Who knows if we'll even get out of this mess.

John McCain suspends his campaign with just over a month left to go? What is he going to do? His presence won't fix this problem. He is way too out of touch to know how to fix a problem of this magnitude anyway.

He needs to be in Mississippi tonight to debate Barack Obama. He is just scared. He knows he can't go up against someone who has real values and decency. Someone who doesn't lie through his teeth constantly and someone who will act responsibly as our president. Obama will mop the floor with McCain at the debate... that is if McCain decides to grow a pair and shows up.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

The Bills are Back Baby!

Video shows reaction to Lindell's game winning field goal at McFadden's Sports Bar in NYC... I was there, it was nuts.

The Buffalo Bills won their 3rd straight against the Oakland Raiders on Sunday, their first time starting the season 3-0 since 1992.

In a game where sloppy play dominated, the boys in blue regained the composure shown in the first two games in the fourth quarter.

The Bills defense held Oakland to two field goals before Marshawn Lynch scored the Bills first touchdown, diving out of bounds with his hand and ball just sneaking past the pylon. The Raiders answered back with another field goal making the score 9-7 at the half.

Buffalo kicker Ryan Lindell missed a 46 yard field goal attempt on the Bill's first drive of the third quarter. Oakland went three-and-out and the Bills quicklky regained possession.

Edwards was intercepted in a questionable call by the officials when the ball was ripped out of a diving Lee Evans' grasp. The Raiders capitalized and scored a touchdown on a 1 yard run, giving the Raiders their largest lead of the game. 16-7.

Buffalo started deep in their territory on the 4 yard line before marching all the way down the field in a 16 play drive that ate away 8:55 off the clock and finished with another Lynch touchdown, this time plowing through the Oakland defense. 16-14.

On 3rd and long, the Raiders caught a lucky break with a breakaway by Higgins for an 84 yard touchdown. 23-16.

Edwards turned it up and connected to Josh Reed, twice to Lee Evans and the big one to Roscoe Parrish for an 11 yard touchdown reception. Back within two points.

The Buffalo defense shutdown the Oakland offense and had them punting after another three-and-out.

The Bills stormed back onto the field and Lynch ran the ball into Raider's territory and into field goal range for Lindell. The Bills let the clock drain to 3 seconds before calling a timeout and sending Lindell onto the field for a chance at redemption.

Lindell drilled the 38 yard field goal to win the game and redeem himself. They look for their fourth straight win next weekend in St. Louis against the Rams.

Rodrigo Y Gabriela

2 Mexicans. 12 strings. 20 fingers. Unreal.

Rodrigo y Gabriela, a guitar duo out of Mexico City who now live in Dublin are taking the world by storm with their out of this world sound.

I was lucky enough to be front and center at the All Points West Music Festival at Liberty Park in New Jersey to catch these two in August.

From creating a percussion section with their hands by beating their guitars to strings of notes that seem too fast to be real, the two have grown to international fame. The chemistry between them seems like they're playing from the same mind, as if they both sold their souls to the devil to become the greatest guitar duo in the world.

The energy that flows in the air during one of their shows is almost visible and you can't connect eyes with a fellow onlooker without cracking a smile, as if to say "are they for real."

They are set to release their new album 'Live in Japan,' this October before hitting the road to tour Japan and Europe in November.

They are a must have in your music collection and if you are fortunate enough to be in the vicinity of one of their shows, you should drop anything and everything to be there.

A Sad Day in the Baseball World

Consider it the mecca of sports. The most accomplished and spirited holy places where teams come to battle. The house that Ruth built.

Yankee Stadium.

The boys in pinstripes hosted the Baltimore Orioles in front of a packed stadium of fans and Yankee greats. It was the last time anyone would walk into Yankee Stadium.

After opening in 1923, Yankee Stadium has been home to some of the greatest baseball players that ever lived. Ruth, Gehrig, Dimaggio, Mantle, Berra, Maris, Jeter, Williams and the list goes on and on and on... It has seen 26 world championships and some of the craziest games in baseball history.

I remember the first time I set foot in Yankee Stadium. Seeing the New York insignia on the grass and the white fence around the stadium made tears fill my eyes. Having been a baseball player for nearly two decades and a Yankees fan since conception, it was like the holy grail of stadiums to me, and most.

I have been lucky and seen some wonderful games from the seats in the Bronx. I saw Alex Rodriguez hit two homers in one inning. I saw Jeter pass Mantle on the Yankee all-time hit list. I've seen only one loss from the inside.

I was lucky enough to see Yankee Stadium from my window in an old apartment on East 95th St and from where I am now in West Harlem I can see the lights in the sky and the blimp flying overhead during games.

I sadly was unable to attend the last game, a victory over the Orioles, but the memories I have from the most decorated place in the sports universe will stay with me forever.

McCain the Tea Pot

It's clear that there is a strong divide between those voting Obama and those voting McCain.

There is another reason we must elect Obama to the presidency in the upcoming election: McCain's whistling S's.

One of the more obnoxious things in the entire world, the whistling s has nails on a chalkboard sounding like a lullaby. Every word spoken carrying the es sound in it comes out of McCain's mouth in a harsh, sharp and deafening whistle that has dogs crying all across the nation.

The whistling sound has never been more prominent than in this interview with a radio station in Miami. In this interview you will clearly hear the tea pot trick that McCain has down to perfection.

Also, you will hear that McCain has no idea who the president of Spain is.

He sounds fairly decrepit in this interview, no?

You're Not Worthy

Support the troops this and support the troops that.

It is something you have heard constantly since Bush decided to invade Iraq what seems like an eternity ago in 2003.

The Medal of Honor is the highest honor given only to those extremely worthy. But who is exactly worthy?

Cpl. Jason L Dunham or Sgt. Rafael Peralta?

Umm.. Jason Dunham, sounds very country and very American.
Rafael Peralta? Sounds kind of... gee how do I say this, Mexican.

In 2004, Dunham was awarded the Medal of Honor after covering a live grenade with his helmet to protect those around him. Obviously worthy of the honor.

Witnesses say that back in 2004, Sgt. Rafael Peralta absorbed the blast of a grenade after covering it with his body. He received the Navy Cross.

Apparently, they decided not to give Peralta the Medal of Honor because he was accidentally shot by one of his own men beforehand. Yeah, so? He was still alive when he made the decision to drop on the grenade when he saw the lives of his men around him in danger.

So why doesn't he get the Medal of Honor? Seems pretty damn honorable to me.

We are run by racists and bigots.

Let's change that.

Holy Cow it's Jesus!

Once again, the desperate have sought comfort in something resembling Jesus Christ.

This time, a water stain on the ceiling of a weight-loss center for women. Oh dear God.

Arkansas City, Kansas is the newest place to add to the list of cities one must visit in order to find an old, dead guy's face on an inanimate object.

At least this time it wasn't on a cheese doodle or the side of a cat.

Don't people know what a coincidence is?

Women who frequent the 'One Stop Beauty Shoppe' have even stopped swearing in the presence of the water-stained ceiling, or excuse me, in the presence of the son of God.

When are people going to stop making a big deal about sightings like this? It is getting a tad ridiculous.

What would people say if I claimed to see a piece of popcorn resembling, Rodney Dangerfield? Would I get an article or video special on CNN.com? I doubt it. I might get a bunch of crazy looks though.

Let us stop this madness today! No more food, animal or water stain Jesus' please. No more finding an old dead guy in the most unlikely of places, earth.

This doesn't offend me because I'm Jewish. I'm no hater of religion (well, at least some of the time). This offends me because I am a human being with a functioning brain.

Please folks, knock it off.

Be Careful!

So I was driving down the Henry Hudson Highway into Manhattan from the Bronx, when I was greeted by a gargantuan sign advising me, 'Drive Carefully, School's Open."

Shouldn't we always be driving carefully?

When school is open, there are the least amount of children on the streets. It's when school is out that we should really focus on. How about evenings and weekends?

I want to see a sign that says, 'Drive Carefully, It's Summer and There are Kids Everywhere.'

Bush Claims to be 'Working Hard'

Apparently George W feels the pain of the everyday citizen.

With the end of his shameful and embarrassing run as president in sight, Bush has just a little more time left to ride out before someone else comes in to clean up the mess. Well, if Obama is elected.

The economy is in rough shape and who knows when things will get back on track. The government has bailed out AIG with a whopping $85 billion loan, giving the government an 80% stake in the company. Just recently they helped out Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac as well.

Is this just a way for Bush to coast under the radar until the end of his term?

"The American people can be sure we will continue to act to strengthen and stabilize our financial markets and improve investor confidence," Bush said today from the White House.

He did however fail to mention after his tough talk today what they plan to do. When the Bush White House was asked what steps would take place to bring order to the economy, Dana Perino, press secretary said, "That's something I'm not at liberty to talk about."

Of course not. Because the Bush Administration has no clue what to do. They do see an end in sight so they have nothing to worry about. They will just ride out the storm.

It's astonishing how stupid Bush thinks we are. What has he done to put our economy on the right track in the past seven years? With every passing day with Bush in office, our economy gains speed falling apart. Bush speaks big when a crisis hits America but he never follows through with anything.

You can expect the same from John McCain, someone who is actually more out of touch than Bush. I know it's a scary thought but it's true.

Wall Street in the Toilet

As you may have heard, The Lehman Brothers, a powerhouse investment bank, filed for bankruptcy.

Also, Merrill Lynch, was gobbled up and taken over by Bank of America.

The Feds are going to bail out AIG, dishing out 85 billion dollars.

The DOW dropped a staggering 504 points the other day and 449 today. According to the Stock Trader's Almanac, this month has been the worst month for the Dow and S&P 500 since 1950 and the worst month for the Nasdaq since it first started in 1971.

Our next president, Barack Obama, said that the Bush administration has, "brought us the most serious financial crisis since the Great Depression."

In regards to GOP puppet John McCain, Obama said, "I certainly don't fault Senator McCain for these problems, but I do fault the economic philosophy he subscribes to. It's a philosophy we've had for the last eight years - one that says we should give more and more to those with the most."

A few hours after hearing Obama's words, McCain responded by saying, "First of all a little straight talk... Our workers are the most innovative, the hardest-working, the best skilled, most productive, most competitive in the world. That's the American worker. And my opponents may disagree, but... I think they're strong."

You think they're strong John? Good for you.

That they may be, but first, you can't just say they are the best and most competitive and this and that and the other thing. People work hard all over the world.

Today, Joe Biden attacked McCain for being very out of touch. I couldn't agree more. He is 72 and running for leader of the free world. I want my president to know how many homes he owns and how to send an email. Also, it would be nice to have someone who didn't stay by Bush's side 90% of the time.

McCain calls for tougher and more regulated rules on Wall Street. Hypocritical from how he has always been one to stand up for deregulation. He goes back and forth like a child on a swing. Whatever is happening in the world around him, he sides with the majority, regardless of what he has stood for and preached in the past.

He keeps saying how he and his religious-nut running mate are going to 'shake things up' in DC.
What has McCain been doing for the past 26 years in Washington?

The world will feel the pain of this financial crisis for a while, and it's going to take some time to fix. In the meantime, let's work on getting someone into the White House that will actually do something. Not a silly puppet like John McCain who will say whatever he is told to say by the ventriloquist that is the GOP.

Marijuana - Friend or Foe?

What is actually wrong with smoking marijuana?

This questions has been up for debate for decades.

From propaganda films like Reefer Madness to the war on drugs, marijuana has become an infamous pastime for users around the world.

So what's the big deal? There has never been any recorded instance of death by pot.
No one has ever overdosed on marijuana and the amount necessary to kill you is impossible to consume.

Let's talk about alcohol quickly.

Alcohol contributes to approximately 85,000 deaths per year. That's only in the United States.
Not to mention the countless alcoholics, either on or off the wagon whose lives were drastically changed by the drink.

How about tobacco? Almost half a million tobacco related deaths per year in the US alone.

Those statistics are absolutely criminal. What is the worst thing that has happened to someone who smoked marijuana?

You might eat a lot of chips or cookies. Oh man, how awful.

Some claim marijuana to be a 'gateway drug.' This means, that if the desired effect of the drug
doesn't live up to its hype, the user would be more inclined to try other stronger drugs.

That has nothing to do with marijuana. It has everything to do with each and every individual
who wishes to experiment. If they want to try smoking marijuana in the first place, it means they already have that desire to try drugs.

Yes, there are health risks when it comes to smoking marijuana. Smoking marijuana.

The actual drug doesn't pose as much of a risk as the method of consumption. Clearly, smoking anything into your lungs is harmful to your health. However, there are ways of consuming marijuana that don't carry such threats to the body.

Obviously, this debate is old and will only continue to age. People may want to think about the positive impact legalizing the plant would have on this country.

Because the production cost of marijuana is so low in comparison to its street value as a drug, keeping the plant illegal cuts down the number of growers and distributors due to the fear of being caught and incarcerated.

If it was legal, people would grow everywhere, making the value of the drug drop significantly.

That's where the government would step in. If we could tax marijuana like we do cigarettes, billions of dollars would be pumped into the economy and there would be a sharp decline in organized crime. The only difference would be where you get it. Instead of on some sketchy corner or in a parking lot, you'd buy packs of marijuana cigarettes at the store.

For you haters out there, having the plant legalized wouldn't mean there would be people smoking weed everywhere. People are going to smoke pot regardless. But making it legal would stimulate an aching economy, reduce crime and frankly, make a lot of people happy.

Now what's wrong with that?

Cindy McCain Tries to Cry, but Can't Due to Plastic Surgery

Cindy McCain, wife of GOP puppet John McCain, is quite upset about an appearance on The View.

John McCain and Cindy were guests a few days back on the popular daytime talk program. The women of The View verbally attacked the pair, grilling them with questions on the minds of Americans everywhere.

Not according to Cindy.

"In spite of what you see, in newspapers and on shows like The View - I don't know if any of you saw The View yesterday, they picked our bones clean. In spite of what you see, that's not what the American people are saying and what they are believing."

Maybe because you only spend time around the 20% who think this country is going in the right direction. Maybe because you are so blind to what Americans really want. It is hard to see when the skin is pulled so far back.

These are the questions people want answered. That is why they were asked. Cindy doesn't like that because the women on The View made him look like a fool.

Not everyone is going to like you Cindy, or your husband for that matter. This is what happens when you are in the public spotlight. You will be grilled, ridiculed, tormented and heckled. If you can't handle it, go lock yourself in one of your nine homes and unplug the television.

I can't wait for some debates when Obama will eat McCain alive. Not to mention Biden and how his experience and knowledge will swallow Palin whole.

Should be interesting.

The Pigs of America

Very disturbing news out of Bayard, Iowa.

One of the main suppliers for Hormel Foods, makers of Spam and other disgusting animal products, is under the national spotlight after videos and testimonials of animal abuse were brought into the public eye.

After someone from the farm complained months back, PETA, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, sent in two undercovers to document the horrible practices happening on the farm.

From slamming piglets onto concrete floors to shoving metal rods up the backsides of pigs, the inbred hillbillies running this farm are now under investigation.

A video taken by one of the PETA undercovers, reveals some of the hate.

"I hate them. These [expletives] deserve to be hurt. Hurt, I say!," the employee yells as he hits a pig with a metal rod. "Hurt! Hurt! Hurt! Hurt! ... Take out your frustrations on 'em."

How could there be so much hate?

What goes through the head of a human being while shoving a metal rod up the rear of a pig?

What sick, twisted pleasure do these rednecks get out of something so awful?

Hopefully extreme action will be taken against the farmers involved. Incidents like this should never take place, but sadly do quite often. Luckily, there were video cameras capturing the men on this farm and the inexplicable occurrences that took place.

Karma is a bitch.

Sarah McBush-- The Bigot Ticket

Why has the GOP done so much to keep Sarah Palin hidden?
Because the truth about her radical ways will scare even the fearless. As if McCain wasn't scary enough on his own, or with his close ties to George W.

Remember Rev. Jeremiah Wright and how everyone feared his extremist views? What about McCain's religious advisors? McCain sought political support from right-wing preacher John
Hagee, who actually thinks Hurricane Katrina was God's punishment for gay rights and called the Catholic Church "the Antichrist" and a "false cult."

What ever happened to the seperation of church and state??

This is NOT a Christian country.

This is a free land where those living here can choose what they want and believe whatever it is they desire.

McCain is one of the richest members of the Senate, with more homes than he can remember owning. What does he say to Americans
going through this housing crisis?

"Get a second job and stop taking vacations."

Oh yeah, John McCain is your average American. Not really.
But now he has Sarah Palin. She is more like your average American, right? Wrong.

She is a religious nut, who thinks the war in Iraq was God's idea. Some invisible dude in the sky told us to invade.

Average Americans don't shoot moose from helicopters.

Average Americans don't support the war in Iraq.

80% of the country thinks this country is going in the wrong direction. John and Sarah are in that other 20, with Bush and his cronies.

Wake up America.

McCain is Bush with war experience and Palin
is Bush with breasts.

Eight is enough.

In a Perfect World...

In a perfect world there would be no republicans. There would be no democrats or independents or elections.

The country wouldn't divide itself and fight over people we don't know.
There would be no Bush, Dick or Rove. No White House and no Air Force One.
There would be no HIV/AIDS, no cancer, no disease, hunger or genocide.
People wouldn't fight. They would love.
There would be no arguments over abortion (because in a perfect world choice is individual).
There would be full gay rights and no civil injustices.
There would be no gun control because there would be no guns, no bullets and no murder.
Religion would vanish and people would stop hating. The color of your skin would no longer mean anything.
There would also be no global warming, endangered species or soaring gas prices.
Cars would run on something different and our addiction to foreign (any) oil would cease to exist.
War would only be a card game and we'd call it something different, perhaps, 'Peace.'
Also, no one would argue science. People would finally open their eyes and see what life really is.
The world was created a couple thousand years ago? Come on!
Global warming has nothing to do with human activity? Come on!
Why do we hold higher education in such high regard when the scientists and doctors who warn us about global warming, among other things, are looked at like psycho liberals hippies!? What was the point in their decades of education and research?
The sad things is that the world is far from perfect. There are guns, hate, crime, politicians and empty promises. Gays have less rights in a country where everyone is 'created equal.' People doubt global warming. People love war. People hate others.
Obviously I don't speak for everyone but I do speak the truth. Until we can start loving each other, and loving ourselves, this planet is going to head in the same downward spiral we've been plunging down for some time now.
Grow up people.
Live and love.

What if Palin had a Penis

One of America's most loved, talented and inspiring women has made headlines. And no, I am not talking about Sarah Palin.

I am speaking of Oprah Winfrey. The queen of television has recently taken some heat from the GOP faithful because she has refused to interview Alaskan hockey mom and GOP VP candidate, Sarah Palin.

The Florida Federation of Republican Women are boycotting Ms. Winfrey's decision not to speak to Palin.

However, Oprah has said that since she has decided to back a candidate publicly in this election, she won't use her show as a platform for any of the candidates, not just Sarah Palin.

You don't see Obama, Biden or McCain's fan base crying about the fact that they won't be interviewed on Oprah.

It's almost sexist that these women are putting up such a fight for Sarah Palin to be on Oprah's show.

The leader of these women from Florida said, "It seemed unusual to me, that she would be excluded from a talk show that focuses on women."

Oh dear, poor Sarah Palin. One of the greatest and most successful women in the world won't have the moose-hunter on her show.

Who cares!?

It is 'The Oprah Winfrey Show.' That means whatever she wants to do with her show is her own choice.

Uh-oh, that scary word again, choice... a word that has become infamous in this campaign.

Palin doesn't want women to have the ability to make their own choices and run their own lives, so I find it pleasingly fitting that Oprah has chosen not to sit down with Palin.

I could care less if Sarah Palin is a woman. I would hate her as much if she were a man. It has nothing to do with her gender. It has everything to do with her ideas, beliefs and super-right stance.

I don't need someone like that running my country.

It's sad when people constantly use the gender card, no matter which way they use it, for or against Palin.

She is unqualified and a danger to this country. I would say the same if she were a man.

Tucker Bounds is a Moron

I have only enjoyed this mans presence once since he was introduced to the world... when he got destroyed by Campbell Brown on CNN.

Day in and day out, Tucker Bounds never ceases to amaze me with his commentary and his snide remarks about Barack Obama. Someone who actually intends to do something positive with this country.

Everyday he says the same thing.. "Attacks mark a new low for Barack Obama." Everyday!

Obama's comments were in regards to the GOP distracting the nation and trying to undermine the nation's trust in the dems.

Everything Obama said was fair, legit and true!

The McCain campaign has continued smearing Obama's campaign with viscious remarks and false claims.

Even Karl Rove, one of the slimiest men around, said McCain has gone too far. Imagine that.

Wake up America. Eight is far too many.

Four more would just be wrong.

The GOP is Scum

So the reason the Republicans are pure scum is simple and visible to all: all they do is talk garbage. In Denver, the Democrats rallied in front of the world, promising change and giving examples of what the party will do to help America.

While watching the Republican National Convention, all I witnessed was mud-slinging, trash-talking and cheap shots at a party that is looking to pull the country out of the hole the Republicans have dug in the past 8 years. Obama talked about the middle-class, the economy, education yada yada yada... Guiliani (who should be banned from New York City for life) did not mention any of this. All he did was verbally bash Obama.

Pailn's speach was impressive.. if you are impressed by the same rhetoric and nonsense that Bush has been regurgitating for the past decade. It is a sad world we live in when it has become this close. The fact that the gap between Obama and McCain is so close makes me ashamed to be an American and saddens me deeply. This is the United States of America. We are supposed to be the example and all we are is a joke. The world sees us as a war-loving, drill-happy place where minds and eyes are closed and ethnocentrism flourishes.

Another thing that bothered me beyond explanation during the RNC was the fact Palin talked about taxes this and taxes that, cuts here and cuts there... but the problem was she wasn't speaking to the country, she was speaking to the rich scum in the arena watching the clowns do their act.

If the Republicans win this election, I will leave this country. The Republicans are a dying breed who won't do anything to help, nothing. NADA.
